Hey, long time no see.
Here’s what I’m working on at the moment. With this bad-boy you can whip up a milkshake anywhere, anytime.
Modeling this shouldn’t be a problem, what I’m trying to do is work on my texturing skills because they suck.
The final piece will have it next to a glass full of milkshake goodness and some globs left on the beater.
hahahahha thats pretty good
i like the portable blender
hmmm…$$$$$$
Great hard surface modeling!
Thanks. This is going to be fun.
Small update #1:

Here’s a little bit more. Didn’t get much time to play today (Go Colts!)
Tomorrow it’ll be Go Eagles!

Very good modeling, gonna be interesting when u start texturing.
Thanks for the comments Tef.
I’ve got a little bit more done. I’ve added placeholder materials, just changed the color of the default material. Helps me see what’s what when I’m working.
There’s really only about 5 materials that the drill will need, plus some labels.
Here’s a couple of shots showing where I am now.

Nice work! Looks very clean and precise. I’d love to see a wireframe. Keep it up!

That’s fantastic work. I admire people who can actually do mechanical modeling.
Its a wierd reflection goin on where the handle meets the battery holder, I think.
Here is a small paint over to show what I mean, in the red ring.

Thanks BlackBoe, I might actaully finish a project for once
Tef–thanks man, that one got by me. I’ll look into fixing that tonight. I actually had a lot of problems gettting that base together.
Looks like its coming along great, your mesh is very clean and nice. It’s a very accurate model!
Thanks for the support everyone.
Here’s another update. I finished and connected the rear handle grip, added the back of the drill, and put in the numbers and letters on the cast aluminum part.
It still has some wrinkle issues here and there, especially the base of it.
I’ll try to iron those out and then I’ll put the battery pack together.
Once I get that done I’ll add the decals and start on the real textures.
Then I guess it’ll be time to model the beater and milkshake.
I don’t even want to think about a background yet.

Niiiiiice Man !
Wow, nice work!
Don’t forget to model the mixer thingy!
And here’s the mixer thingy
The glass is strictly a placeholder for the milkshake.
I’m dying to start texturing the drill but I think I should model the milkshake first.
Ah…we’ll see what happens I guess.

Great progress… milkshake material, thats goin to be tricky. No crits this time, I will wait until u start texturing.
Yeah, the milkshake in the glass will be tricky but I think the globs that will be left on the beater will be even worse.
But that was the intention of this project, to practice my texturing skills(or lack of I should say).
