This is an early real world art piece I have rebuilt as a 3d model. I animated the action to help with showing what it does. It’s an inverted moulinex, One participant sits and place the potato in position the other participant holds it in place the first participant cranks the handle thus shooting potato slices into the air.

I guess that’s one way to peel a potato. 
But why would you waste perfectly good (potential) chips!?
haha, when i showed this piece it attracted ants, so there was a bonus, the ants were being fed, so no waste. At the time i was working on building narratives with actions and objects (and trying to be funny) i was thinking about relationships between people in the suburban landscape.
