There’s a clear subtle underlying emotional story that is conveyed here, I think you could have gone further in fleshing out all the nuances to make it even more captivating. Good execution nonetheless.
I don’t know what’s happening, and I usually don’t care for skeletons related art, but I love the lighting and shaders here! Especially the golden sparkly main figure under the “godrays” 
The first color choice gives a very warm feeling (duh, warm colors), the second one looks like the main figure has lost something and is seeing the last moments of it.
