Precision Gears is a blender addon developed to bring an array of mathematically accurate involute gears to the precision world of Blender. Not only that, it’s all incapsulated inside the closest thing to a parametric system, in blender giving you the ability to change your gears on the fly.

This is a “beta” release some pretty big & exciting changes will be coming to the addon in the next coming months (See below). Plus a whole bunch of videos and a full wiki eventually. In the time being if you find any consistent bugs that you are able to replicate or have any future development ideas I would love to hear from you.

  • Gears to keep material assignments when changing parameters
  • Internal gears outside perimeters perfectly round
  • Cross bore. XY parameters should be the total length of bore extrusion
  • Gear face chamfering/bevelling from tip (Spur, Internal, Helical, Herringbone, Rack)
  • Tooth crowning (Spur, Internal)
