Recently, I have started art challenge for myself, which involves creating one artwork per week. I enjoyed the process quite a lot. By setting these goals and framing myself with time restrictions, it provided an opportunity to think and work in a different way. I believe this is a beneficial exercise to enhance efficiency in my pipeline and perhaps discover something new.
Result is achieved only with Blender, Zbrush and a little bit of Photoshop, no UVs and substance painter, just Polypaint and vertex color attribute in Blender. Also I will post the timelapse on my youtube channel but a bit later!
Amazing! Regarding the “one artwork per week” challenge, have you ever failed to finish at the end of the week and what do you do then? Abandon it or still post the unfinished work?
I kinda believe that you can drive your artwork to a good result at every stage while you making it. Even if it will be not that good, you still tried and at some point you will achieve something. I’m not afraid to make mistake. Sometimes it could drive to a different direction, but you trying to find right balance between good and bad result. And this type of exercises like make everything in 1 week help with that. In the end of the day practice is the best teacher.
