Prefs from 2.8 breaks outliner

Hey there.
I am quite new to blender and have (painstakingly) set up prefs and pie menus for 2.8. But now in 2.81 the outliner is broken and I can’t expand/collapse the hierarchies. It only appears using my own preds. Is there an easy way to reset the prefs that has to do with outliner… or copy over the changes I have made in the 3d Viewport parts of the prefs?

I tried a diff between the 2 .py files, but that is just the entire thing that seems different.

Is there a good way to store only the differences you make to the standard keymap so your prefs aren’t the entire thing which seems to break with updates?
To avoid future problems?

I don’t think there can be a general solution, especially given ongoing changes with tools and keymaps, but to address this specific issue:

thought there might be a small fix.
Just got very nervous trying to switch if you’d need to redo your prefs every update.
