Presentations done in Blender

Hi,
I am working at a university in the field of computational chemistry, where I have to give an introduction to students about possible topics for an internship.
Due to Covid-19, the introduction this year is not a lecture but simply a video that we upload on our servers. For this, I wanted to use Blender.

Some fluid animation and a fancy molecule

Did anyone use Blender to render presentations before and can give me some critique?
Currently for transitions between “slides” I simply let the text fly in and out of the cameras view or animate camera movement. Are there any add-ons that are designed for presentation-like transitions?
