After spending quite some time on this piece it is finally ready!
The illustration depicts the princess defeating all the obstacles on the way to the Field of Reeds to retrieve an amulet from the afterlife which saves the world! 
I thought it would be cool to be an Egyptologist when I was young so I decided to follow this theme. I did a lot of research and learned many interesting details about ancient Egypt. This was so that I could incorporate authentic elements and visuals into the scene while still adding a fantasy feel.
My favourite part is the mummified hands holding the spell book, though it is one of the smaller elements. They remind me of Thing and were partially inspired by him.
