Just like Madonna she was also scrapped Sonic’s girlfriend. She was originally intended to appear in Sonic Mars on Sega 32X(add-on for Sega Mage Drive) in Sonic X-Treme planned on Sega Saturn(however also cancelled in the late 90’s) they redesigned her and changed her surname.
More tomboyish look.
