Having an issue with the Pro Lighting Skies addon. Specifically when I try using it in the 4.0 versions (it works fine in 3.6) Namely it doesn’t work.
Is this because the compatibility is broken for those 4x series versions of Blender?
Additionally, here’s another problem I’ve encountered when using HDRIs for a scene. When I put it into the “Background” node in the World settings, it doesn’t update as it should and it’s not reflected in the render itself. But I am using an EXR as intended, so I don’t know why it’s not working. Any tips to fix this issue too?
Make sure you’re using the latest version of this add-on, which is 1.4.1.
The author himself states that the last compatible version of Blender for this add-on is 4.2 [link]. Try it out in either 4.0, 4.1 or 4.2 versions, if you have not tried it yet.
Here’s the link to all Blender releases so far: [tap].
Pretty much. I guess you could’ve contacted them, but I doubt it would’ve changed anything.
On another note, you can search for a similar add-on that may do what you want. There are several free add-ons I’ve just found, namely SceneSkies and Gaffer. They’re also paid ones out there, just search it.
