Probably basic and stupid question but how do you reorder the bone hierarchy in Blender?

I’ve tested both within 1 armature or like in this screenshot, separated armatures.

I cannot just drag and drop the bones to change the hierarchy too.

Googled around I can’t find any tutorial that cover this specifically

What should I do to reorder the hierarchy like in the screenshot?

can u elaborate a bit more why you wanna do this? Maybe my brain is too tired right now, but “normally” this makes no sense to me. You can “double” bones with ctrl-d, but they keep their hierarchy by this. Maybe there is another way in Blender doing what you want.

It doesn’t seem possible in the Outliner itself, plus you’re trying to parent a bone of an armature to a bone of another armature, which is not possible (you can give a Child Of constraint to a bone though, with the bone of another armature as Target)

It’s this… I was trying reconstruct UE paragon’s facial rig

probably I still work with Autodesk mindset instead of blender

but found the solution already

Thanks for the replies guys!

Oh yeah steps :

  1. Join the armatures (ctrl + j)

  2. edit mode > parent the bones
