First of all I am aware of the alternate way of getting a camera to follow something by parenting. But I like the logic version were there is a slight rotation like in most games have, like when you turn a vehicle you see the side at an angle. That looks much better than parenting that just following strait and it kinda looks fake. But using the camera settings in the logic section the camera wants to go strait to the side when x is selected and to the front when y is selected. I want the camera to start and stay at the rear instead of rotating to the side or front.
Try slow parenting. Select the camera > go into object panel( F7 ) > press slow parent > adjust the time offset for the amount.
