Problem with texture painting, some faces are ignored

Hello,
I have a problem with texture painting, it’s ignoring some of the parts I have to rotate the camera to paint them, see in screenshots :frowning: thanks in advance !

That’s how painting works, you paint on the visible faces. If you want to paint through visible faces and paint everything under your cursor, turn off the Front Faces checkbox in the header under the stroke drop down- just be aware that everything under your cursor will be painted.

For what you’re doing, I feel like the paint bucket tool would be more useful anyway- have you tried it?

Hello, thanks for the answer !
The problem is that some of the face’s parts are not painted even if it’s in view in the viewport, here is a screenshot

For the bucket tool, I’d like to use the draw brush as I want a hand painted look texture like wood.

There seems to be some big square patterns in the paint. You wouldn’t happen to have a low resolution texture applied to the brush, would you?

Anyway, I would have to see the file to tell for sure what the problem is. Would you be willing to upload it? If it’s a part of a larger project, you could make a copy and delete the irrelevant objects before uploading.

I would check for duplicated faces and/or normal orientation…

Always the first problem in Texture Paint is that you confirm in Edit Mode that all faces are pointing outward on their normals. This is the most popular problem that I see asked on blender.stackexchange and it solves almost every scenario like this.

As suggested, you can paint through your object but if you intend on having unique markings per face, that won’t help in this instance. Also, the settings for your bleed may affect your model depending on your UV Unwrap scheme’s distance between islands.

hello guys thanks for answers ! Well I don’t know what the problem is, other models don’t do that. I tried Substance Painter instead :frowning:
