I’m working on a horse model, and when I went to add hair systems for the mane and tail, the particles will only sprout from the origin point. I’ve tried setting the particle amount to zero and adding the hair in particle mode, but the hair still only comes from the origin. I opened the file in 2.48 and added the hair there, but as soon as I reopened the file in 2.5 and tried to edit the hair or adjust it, all of the particles pop back to the origin. If I edit all of it in 2.48 and try to render in in 2.5, the hair doesn’t follow the editing, it just stands straight up where I added it.
I’ve made hair before in 2.5 and it didn’t do this. I’m wondering if anyone else has encountered this and if they know a work-around. Thanks in advance.
