Hello, I would like to ask for your help. I have a completely created 3D model, I created a uv map, exported the map to an fbx file and inserted it into the Substance Painter program. In Blender, the uv map is absolutely fine, but in Substance Painter, the uv map is bad. I will be very happy for any advice. Thank you I apologize for my bad English.
You need to create a material (in Blender) that is common to everything on a UV map so that Painter creates a Texture Set.
Here you apparently have a single material for everything (or none) and Painter superimposes everything in a single texture set.
1 Blender UV map = 1 Blender material = 1 Painter texture set
When i tried to answer the last time… you deleted it… (why ???)
Anyway (same as i was trying to answer):
In the second image there are part not present in the first, so i guess(ed) that you may had two materials and was looking at the map of only one and on export substance mixed them.
When interchanging any objects ans especially materials one always have to check what which app can do or not.
And it seems @picto knows SP better than me…
Thank you for your help, finally the problem was that one part of the model was wrongly created and I had to create it again.
I am so sorry I realized that I put it in the wrong Category and when I deleted the post I didn’t notice your reaction.
It’s better to move it… ( icon on headline; not only for edit)… this said, maybe this is not enabled for new users…
You could also have simply made a remark about this… we are not sooo picky here (and some have the rights to move it… )
But… no stress
Problem solved… (so you might tag this as solved…)
