Procedural GN battery holder with 3D print file

A quickly configurable battery holder for 3D printing, built almost entirely in Geometry Nodes for parameterisation. Adjustable resolution quality, diameter, height, wall thickness, side cutout, and array repetitions (the “constant offset” is auto calculated from the GN settings).

Depending on your slicer settings and printer details, adjust the diameter and wall thickness to taste. I needed an extra ~0.5mm over the calliper-measured diameter of Ikea rechargeable batteries to ensure they would slide in and out easily. Admittedly, slightly too easily now but I don’t feel like re-printing again, haha.

BatteryStorage.blend.zip (121.4 KB)

The file should be easily customisable for AAA, AA, 18650, or any other cylindrical battery format. Callipers will definitely make it easier to match an exact battery size, however. Especially since features, wraps, and variances mean the same “size” may actually be a little different from product to product.
