Procedural procedural material

I have been doing the “Mayterials 2021” prompts for quite sometime, and I finally finished it yesterday with this project following the prompt “Experimental”. Could have tried something else, but I decided to end the series with something meta.

Everything was made completely procedurally with shader nodes on a UV sphere, no image textures (except this 1K HDRI from polyhaven), no modeling or any scripting.

This is also a generator on its own, so you will get a completely new “nodes setup” with every new seed and able to adjust how many “nodes” there are on the sphere(scale):
