Product Render - Polaroid Camera

Product Render - Polaroid camera
Hand-modeled in Blender and rendered with Cycles. Post-production done in Photoshop.

I bought a Polaroid 1000 in an antique shop, not just to own it, but with a strong urge to disassemble it and study its inner workings. My goal was to model every single piece by hand, understanding the mechanics behind this iconic instant camera.

I photographed every piece from the top, front, back, and sides, measuring each one carefully to achieve the highest level of realism possible.
What fascinated me the most was how it’s built without screws—every part snaps into place with precision, making it a brilliant example of smart engineering. Seeing how all the elements fit together was a deep dive into the craftsmanship of the past. I also modeled all the interior parts, but I ended up not using them in this final render. Maybe in the future I’ll make a version with a transparent plastic casing to show the internal parts.

This has been a passion-driven personal piece, and I’ve put great effort into capturing its details and essence in 3D.
The assets around the camera are from Polyhaven and a few are from sketchfab.
