Project siblings

Here’s my latest project.

The project siblings. These are the portraits of 3 aliens from planet OI-K45 after their interviews.

“After a trip on planet OI-K45, we encounter with these Aliens. Each mark represents who they are, their duties and responsibilities”

o-kirimen (The Eldest) - Wise, he is in the pursuit of the spiritual ideal and ways to connect with other beings in the solar system. He offer guidance to his surroundings and help the neighbourhood. He is often found in a cave studying ancient books and meditating.

i-tublis - Strong and violent. Having witnessed the death of his parents, i-tublis lives with anger and trauma. With a restless mind and horns with symbolic significance that keeps growing due to anger, he often go on a spree in the dry land killing creatures ruthlessly as a therapy. Some even see him as a defender.

o-lemta (The youngest) - Intellectual, curious and kind. Pilot of spaceships and scientist, o-lemta also belongs to the society of Evoli 9-4 where he study, invent and contribute to the advancement of life on the planet. He has a strong passion for mechanics and is often found in the hangar crafting and repairing spaceships.

It was more of a creative and imaginative process. Sculpting, retopo, projection, cloth simulation, details, uv and posing were all done in Blender. The baking process from high to low and texturing were done in Substance Painter. Post process in Affinity Photo.

So good! Did you sculpt and retopo in blender?

Thanks @Jeremytitus.
Yes the whole sculpting was done in blender, I used retopoflow for retopology, then project the details using shrinkwrap modifier and add multires to sculpt the finer details. For bakng and texturing I used Substance Painter( baked from high to low).

Hi everyone,

Here is the “Behind the Scenes” article for this remarkable artwork!

Do check out this article, written by the artist himself. It describes the process of making the artwork step by step and provides insight into character-designing in Blender.
