Projection Mapping for Live Events


I’ve been dabbling with Blender to clean up OBJ models and creating simple animations for live projection mapping. I was wondering if anyone could take a look at the attached video ( and point me in the right direction in how I can create the break away affects for the bricks? Specifically, at the 32 second mark where a wall breaks away but the clock stays in the foreground? If might be beyond the scope of this simple post but any help would be greatly appreciated. Maybe any tutorials that I can watch? Thank you.
