Proxies for Material or Textures

I created a material that uses textures (images) with UV-mapping. If I link this material then i have the problem that i can’t edit anything. That is good. But at least i want to be able to change the used UV-layer. But i can’t do this, until i make the material and the textures local.

Since this goes against the basic idea of using libraries for constant materials over multiple scenes or projects i was wondering if there are proxies for material/texture properties. :eek:

Is there such a possibility that i can link a material in a way, that i can only change the UV-layer while anything else is locked/linked?
