Pulling a person (or object) inside out

For a while now, I have wanted to try to turn an object (or creature) inside out in Blender. Funny enough, despite this idea being not very novel, after a decent amount of research, I have discovered that nearly no one has ever documented a process for turning an object inside out.

The idea for a test animation of this concept is simple.

I must find a way to slide this object along these arrows.

Another test could be finding a way to rotate a torus inside out, like rolling a scrunchy.

Uses for this animation could include more abstract 3d art, such as many objects expanding from one point. This kind of technique could theoretically include geonodes, which I am incredibly uneducated on, so if you know anything about a bunch of objects growing and expanding from one single point, point that out.

Anyways, I hope to create a discussion through this theoretical animation idea. Thank you for any input you give!

So… first you have to have something “inward”… so something like a pipe… in fact i beleive ti has to have a

of 1… (there is also the famous cup → donut → cup conversion)

to “move” the “innerward” surface to the “outward”… (?)

So your rotating torus is… just it ?? …then this is “just” moving some displacement
