I am currently attempting to model a push pin, and I am a beginner at modeling. For some reason, the push pin is appearing deformed, or, well, I’m not really sure how to describe it… I posted some pictures below for you guys to look at. I am not sure what to do? Any help with this problem would be greatly appreciated.
You have inconsistent face normals
In this order
Remove any faces inside the mesh (use Shift+Ctrl+Alt+M to check for non manifold edges)
Remove any double vertices (select all vertices and W / remove doubles)
Recalculate face normals (select all vertices and Ctrl+N)

If you used spin to make your object you need to remove doubles afterwards at the seam.
