Putting an image on a flag

I am working on an animation with a flag. I got the animation to look allright, but no matter how hard I try, I can’t seem to get the image to appear on the flag the way I want it to… I’ve tried every form of resising and tweaking known to man, but I still don’t get the image the way I want it.

I wonder if anyone has any helpfull tips that may be of use to me?

UV texture it. You will probably want to set it 2 sided.
