I can keep asking stupid questions.
I have 2.56 from blender.org. I open the python editor and I don’t have the
report option in the header.
-Wrong Ver. of 2.56
-Did they take it out.
-Am I losing my mind

It was moved from the Console window to the Info window type.
Just pull down the header at the top of blender (the one with File, Add, Render, etc), and you can see the reports.
