Python Tutorial website question

Hi

Just noticed that my favourite Python tutorial website has disappeared :frowning:

The website was “How to Think Like a Computer Scientist Learning with Python”

it has been replaced by an alternated pdf version, its not the same however and personally I prefer the old one. Just wondering if anyone kept an offline copy of the original or maybe had a pdf version of it ?

It would be nice to get the old one back

Thanks

Geoff

I am not sure which page you are talking about but at least http://openbookproject.net/thinkCS/python/english2e/index.xhtml seems to be fine. Of course you can try to use archive.org to access the original page.

Hi

The url that used to bring up the tutorial pages is http://www.ibiblio.org/obp/thinkCSpy/

That now just brings up a file download link. I am not sure what the file is ?

Also your link does the same in that it brings up a file download link for “index.xhtml”

Are you sure there isn’t something wrong with your web browser? It loads up just fine using Swiftfox (derivative of Firefox).

Hi Bebraw

Yes, you are right it was either a security setting on my IE7 or something wrong with the html code on that website. Anyway, rather than tinker with my settings I thought I would try out firefox anyways. That website works fine with firefox

Thanks
