Hey, so to start off with I’m fairly amateurish when it comes to animation, but I have done a bit off and on throughout my career. I haven’t really done much character rigging in Blender until now so I figured I would grab Auto-rig Pro and see what all the buzz is about. It seems to work great, although the way it rigs quadrupeds it puts the root IK controller at the pelvis like it’s a human running on all fours, which means I can’t really adjust the shoulders and hips independently without making drastic changes to the pose.
What’s the best way to handle that situation? Watching this animator go through a quadruped walk cycle, she drops the hips at around 2:33 and the front half of the rig doesn’t move. It looks like the IK root controller is in the center of the spine??
