Question About Importing Models And Editing Them Separate

Okay, this may be the wrong spot to ask, but I wasn’t really sure where best to post.

Does Blender have a way to import models from another .blend file that you can move them around, animate them or whatever you need, then if you make changes to the model in the original .blend it will update in the animated file?

So like you make a model in one .blend. Then in another you import the model and make it fly on a path. But then you go back to the say model.blend and change the model or put textures on it. Add bones, whatever. Can you then have that update in the “animate.blend”? Or do you just need to import the updated model and start over?

Thanks for any responses!

You want to look into linking objects from one .blend to another.
