the output files are all glitched out only have 1 or 2 frames, 4.0 works perfectly with exactly the same setting

It works with blender 4.1.1. (Blender 4.1.1 Release Candidate)

just tried 4.1.1 release, still not working properly, same glitch as 4.1
Is QuickTime installed on your system?
I don’t know if this is the cause of the problem, but the system I use is renderable and has QuickTime installed. I think this is the difference
4.0 works with exact the same setting, I just did another test, it seems FFmpeg video codec #1 output just fine, it is QT rle that is causing the problem, I think I’ll just switch to FFmpeg codec#1 from now on, same mov format and smaller size
