it is a race car with an exposed engine parts. One critic I’ve always received about my cars is that there are always some issues with mesh and that it needs some work so this is really something that I want to get used to and get right. Below are some wire frames if you can see any problems please let me know
Begun work on the wheels and the exhausts. for the tyres I’m going for slick tyres like the ones on f1 cars. though you can’t really see I in the render there is a dummy engine block it isn’t very detailed not sure if I’m gonna do any open bonnet shots. The exhausts curl under the engine and come out the back the larger part of the exhaust is a heat shield to protect against accidental contact if the engine has been running.
Below is a picture of what i’m aiming for with the suspension. this image is from the new Lamborghini aventador. I’m still trying to figure out how it will be bolted to the chasis

there’s probably at lot more to do but this is all i can think of right now
Today began adding details to the model. Started to carve out the windscreen (still need to do A pillar) and doors plus started enhancing the lines down the side of the car
Today was a bit more productive!! added the a pillar to body, the mesh was surprising more compliant than i thought it would be. started on the wing just need to bolt it on to the body
Time for some texturing!! The modelling is finished but I’m kinda bored of moving verts around :p. None of the textures and materials are final but i think they are close. I wanna go for a used look like its been in a few heated races
Hmm… They’re good, but they need work. I don’t think the textures do justice to the model right now. Especially the windows. I once heard someone on YouTube say: “You may have the best model in the world, but if the textures aren’t as good, the result won’t be.”
@Animaniac888 thanks, don’t worry the textures and materials are still very much wips. the windows are gonna be transparent so in the interest of render times i just left them as solid black.
just a small update some critiques would be nice just to see where its lacking
