Radio BC 348

If the ART-13 was the “voice” of the bombers, the BC-348 was the “ears of steel” of the B-17s and B-24s, picking up crucial messages through the noise of battle to guide our heroes back home.

It was the right-hand man of the radio operators, famous for being tough and never letting the crew down, even under the most brutal conditions of freezing and combat.

We honor the fighters who, tuning into this radio amidst the silence of the ocean, found the path to victory and ensured that freedom could be heard loud and clear.
