I have a three sided box with a sphere in it. Above there is a sub-divided plane used as an emitter. No matter what material settings I use on either the sphere or the emitter I don’t get any specular on the sphere itself. I do if I use normal rendering or if I add a lamp with specular only. I’m using optimised blender. Is this a bug?
radiosity lighting doesn’t do any specular highlights
it is not a bug, it is how radiosity works
it also doesn’t take into account any bump map, material textures, or … well a bunch of things
for those things, you’d pretty much need to use a raytracer and photon mapping
Oh ok. Thanks for the info.
