Radiosity Rendering Problem

(emtilt) #1

I was following blengines tutorial for rendering with radiosity. I got as far as the last step. I have claculated it, but now I cannot get a rendered image. When i press render I get an almost black image with faint outlines of the objects. Look at this screenshot to see what I mean:

The rendered window is in the lower righthand part of the image.

What am I doing wrong? Any help is appreciated, because I have a real project I would like to try rendering this way.

I’m not sure if it makes a difference but the radiosity memory hasn’t yet been freed (and from that SS, you’ve got a lot more taking up your memory as it is 8) ). Go to the radiosity buttons, click add new meshes then free radio data, and move the huge mesh that remains now to a new layer.

Did you press the “Replace Meshes” & “Free Radio Data” buttons after the calculation?

If not, try that.

Thanks. I hadn’t pressed those two buttons. Works great now. Thanks again!
