Railway Station

Created this atmosphere based on a lucid dream I saw few months ago, what I can remember was an Art Nouveau style (which is my favorite architecture style as well) with a lot of corridors in which I was moving through, the atmosphere was something between a retro shopping mall, a museum and a 19th century railway station like the famous Art Nouveau Metro in Paris, so I tried to achieve this combination as much as possible. Somewhere empty and abandoned like in Friday afternoon but also cozy and pleasant to chill.

My pleasure friend, i tried my best to capture what i saw in the dream

What an amazing dream this must have been, then! I’m not familiar with the metro station that you speak of, but did any real railway architect ever attempt a ceiling like that?

This render is as good as it gets. An amazing setting, and you instantly feel like you are “in” it – and comfortable.

Do you care to animate a “walking tour” of this place?

Thanks friend for your attention and kind words, this is the Paris art nouveau metro I was talking about:

Honestly speaking I haven’t also seen a railway with such ceiling, I understood it when I was searching for some real references before modeling the scene, so what I did was modeling the ceiling just from imagination and then combined different Art Nouveau ceiling glass references to decorate the ceiling.

Again thanks for your attention, yeah I honestly first made the scene in Unreal Engine but since my GPU doesn’t support Path Tracing then I couldn’t get realistic glasses with shadow transmission… so again I got back to Blender and used the Cycles… I would be happy to make a walking tour but each frame takes around 30 minutes to render in HD size on my laptop because of the transmissions so I am still thinking about it…

Would love to see this style coming back thb…

And a couple of days ago I read a post online that said
“Art Noveau” is design by elves, “Art Deco” is design by dwarves

Thanks friend, agreed, that’s very mysterious style I wish it comes back too

It’s dope to create a scene after a dream. I had a very lucid dream some years ago, maybe I should do this. Really cool example of art nouveau. Honestly want to hang out in there, warm up by a chilly winter afternoon.
