Real Time Light with UV

I can’t seem my UV mapped chars to be affected by light in game. this is the set up.
I first UV-mapped my char, no materials yet.
Then, i added a material, added a texture, and ‘map input’ is on UV, with the UV text box assigned to my characters UV Texture (as it’s name is in the Edit Buttons Panel). Then i made my material ‘Tex-Face’
I next selected all faces in face select mode, and pushed: w>set light.
If I check the Edit Buttons in Face Select Mode, it has light activated.
Then, when i push ‘p’, they show no reaction to the light. any help? :eek:

in the material’s MAPTO tab, change the pull down menu from “Mix” to “Overlay” or “multiply” .

your model should shade properly now…

If not…

Press F,
Press a untill all faces are selected
press W
and select Set, Light… “be careful not to clear light”

that should work now.

And if that doesn’t work, make sure you have your light source on the same layer as your object.
