Realistic Bonsai Tree

Hi, I need your help, please.

I’m currently working on a larger project… Unfortunately, I’ve never worked with trees before and modeled this tree using a YouTube tutorial.

However, I’m having trouble with the Particle System and have no idea how to properly adjust the leaves so that they look realistic.

I actually need help with the texture as well, so if someone can assist with that, it would be great. I’m not sure how to properly adjust the texture of the tree trunk… and I’d like to keep the leaves roughly the same color; purple, pink, or blue would be cool.

I’m also not satisfied with the topology yet, but I’ll fix that later so it doesn’t look so angular…

Here’s my Blender file for a better overview, so you can see where it’s currently failing… Maybe I’m also completely wrong about it?

Thank you very much in advance! I am very grateful for any advice, whether it helps or not

  1. The particles on the leaves aren’t that bad.
  2. Transform the tree using a modifier and apply displacement to add more details.
  3. Bumper maps were added to tree leaves.
