Hello guys, this is my black female character made in blender. hope you like it :).
if you like to see the full skin process check my youtube channel here: https://youtu.be/AaNF0bpxkj0
I featured you on BlenderNation, have a great weekend!
She’s beautiful - the skin is beautifully textured and “sculpted.” I thought your process video was going to be a timelapse or something, not a tutorial. You could probably do masks with vertex colors instead if you wanted to skip the extra texture.
Any chance of a followup on how you did the lip detailing? Or skin texturing for the albedo?
She is beautiful. I sure wish people showed wires when they showed their masterworks. It gives more perspective on just how amazing the work is.
Amazing work!
You definitely nailed it. When portraying a black-skinned character, "lighting is absolutely critical," and what you did is solid. The skin texture looks very realistic, and the “play of light,” both across the entire scene and particularly upon her face, works extremely well. Everything, also, is very balanced, left-to-right but also particularly “seven o’clock to two o’clock.” The catch-lights in the eyes are also spot-on. Like the fine hair-braids, too.
