this is my recent work on Rusty Fire Extinguisher while learning Substance Painter. I attempted to create a more realistic and rusty appearance. The beauty was made in a blender using cycles, textured in Substance Painter, and composited in Nuke. I hope you all like this one.

It’s nicely done. But, as for me, the “grime” and certainly “rust” does not in any way add to its “realism.” I would expect a fire extinguisher to be clean and – especially – not “rusty.” Any high-pressure cylinder which showed any such thing (despite the rust-resistant paint) would be immediately emptied and disposed of as unsafe.
