This was actually pretty simple. I made a hand model to use in other renders and threw a texture on it and it looked great! Sadly it isn’t texture very well, I just textured the back of the hand. If anyone could link me to a tutorial on how to texture the full hand that would be greatly appreciated!!!
Hand material is a glossy/diffuse mix with a fresnel node. Same for all the materials on the pencil except the wood.
The hand is rigged but stupid me, I applied the sub surf and now I can’t go back and do the texturing easily without recovering auto save and having to re-sculpt it and everything.
@elbriga, Yeah it does, there is no subsurf scattering or anything like that just diffuse and glossy. Where are you noticing the distortion? It is distorted a bit but, I didn’t think it looks too bad. The hand is a bit chubbier than I wanted but that’s alright.
I’m currently working on a good rig and then I want to do some art with the hands a grey diffuse material and then a full color realistic object such as an apple as a focal point.
