Realistic Ocean

Hi everyone

I came across a technique on how to create a realistic ocean the other day. Please can you critique. If there is anything stopping it from being realistic please tell me.

EDIT: The scene was rendered in Cycles with 1000 passes in about 2:30 hours.

The ocean is very nice … is this one ocean sim or multiple stacked behind each other?

I love the Scene itself but i would add a Skytexture … the blender Horizon is nice and i think you got about all that’s possible out of it but a “real” sky might work better.

Thanks. There are multiple oceans stacked behind each other. I forgot to say that this was rendered in Cycles and the background is a HDRI sky.

Looks good, very simple. The only thing I can think is… Clouds? I mean, it’s simple, but wispy clouds are usually in scenes like this. Everything else looks great, it’s quaint and simple, I like it.
