I have been working on creating star trek effects in blender :eyebrowlift:
my first result was one line glowing, I have been looking at the phaser effect of the series: ENTERPRISE
I came close with the phaser with this pic, I’m still not very happy with it.

Is this Cycles? I can see a little bit of fade off in the back…
Anyway it looks good from my perspective.
nope Its just the standard render engine. I hate working with Cycles…
I just use the compositor a lot.

Cool, i only found one problem, it looks a little strange that the yellow line in the middle doesn’t always show above the red glow
I think it looks a little more like a natural laser, all randomized and stuff:confused:
