Really easy way to watermark at rendertime

I got my first taste of nodes today and I thought I’d post what I learned. I wanted to use an image for a watermark and have it applied at rendertime. After some reading and tinkering I got the result I wanted.

Two things, make sure the “use nodes” button is selected and that you go back to your default scene and press Ctrl+U to save the new user defaults.
Now every render will feature your watermark!

Although it’s nice that you learned something today, that’s one of the easier things to accomplish with compositing nodes

True, but it still took me a while to get it right.
That and I couldn’t find a good up-to-date explanation anywhere.

That will be very useful. Thanks for sharing.

Yeah, nodes are not that easy to grasp, I understand only a tiny bit of their power as well. I hope you weren’t that offended by my comment but as soon as everyone posted rather small tipps like that it would just be quite unorganized. Why not collect some of your accomplishments and then make a nice beginner’s tutorial or something? Or a thread for a collection of node tipps, although something like that might be available already, I’m not sure. That way it won’t get too much to follow, I think

I’ll keep that in mind
