Realtime curvature /edge detect not tesselation bound?

I know there is pointiness input but I wonder does anyone manged to make a universal solution?. Not depending on how much tessellated a mesh is? Something I could tweak on the fly on low poly objects without baking?

I think I saw one in Modo for example. Couldn’t recollect the map name . It showed green and red lines on edges. Worked super fast so unlikely AO based. Perhaps screen space derivative ( I need it for static render only) but prefer to be a part of material rather than in 2d compositing.

It’s mesh tessellation dependent, same way as pointiness . Doesn’t work basically for low poly models. Needs more vertexes
