Recalculate Normals on Modifier Stack?

Hi, I have been using the skin modifier a lot lately, and I keep running into this issue. For some reason, the normals on the Skin modifier mesh get flipped and I have no way of recalculating them, becase the Skin modifier uses vertices, not faces. I was wondering if there was some possible way of recalculating normals after the Skin Modifier (without applying it).
