Red Haired Woman (original art by Ann Kiernan)

Some time ago, I started doing a series of sculpts based on other artists‘ work.
I quickly discovered that this is not only a great way of practicing the whole workflow from sculpting, modeling, retopo, texture painting to lighting, it‘s also a very cool way to interact with other artists!

This is the original artwork the above render is based on, by the fantastic Ann Kiernan:

Nice work, you’ve done a great job replicating the 2D style while subtly adding a bit of 3D. It looks very deliberate, it’s clear you put a lot of time and thought into this

Thank you very much!
After finishing the sculpt, I was a little sceptic. I showed it to Ann, the artist of the original piece.
She asked for colors and wanted to see more.

I love this. I’ve been keeping a collection of ‘3D paintings’ on Sketchfab for years now - you might enjoy it too:

(PS: can we have your model on Sketchfab too? )

Thanks a lot!
I think I saw your collection on sketchfab some time ago.
Maybe I‘ll upload and let you know. I‘ll have to check with Ann first in any case. :slightly_smiling_face:
