Weapons seem the be the big thing on Blendswap. So I figured I would try my hand at it.
Here is a Remington M40 rendered in Cycles and wireframes from Blender internal. The stock is supposed to have a bump map on the fore-grip and at the rear behind the trigger. However When I try to use a UV map as a mask for bump map placement Cycles crashes. So this one is smooth. Also the magazine release in front of the trigger may not be accurate, the only good image of the underside of the rifle that I could find was from and Airsoft forum.
I love the camo material and pretty much everything else except for that thing(IDK what it is) on the stock, if it’s metal, it’s not that convincing. Good job with the modeling, too.
Looks good, but is very easy to tell it is computerized. In the node editor you can apply camera effects to add real life effects, like blurs, glare and jitter. Looks nice though
