You are one fast modeller. What’s your workflow like, and what do you do to cut corners?

Radiance, thanks mate. Hopefully should be able to do that for you, ask me again when the contest has finished. (Mid November).

Catboy85, most of the equipment is modeled from a cube. Everything has to be modeled to scale, so I set a cube up to match the measurments of the piece of equipment.
Then use the Knife tool to cut loops where I want them. Corners are just 2 or 3 close cut loops. Any further detail is extruded, once I cut new loops to help keep the clean sharp edges.

I think it takes me 10-20mins per object, however the desk took me about 4 hrs to get it right.

Cheers. Blender internal 13mins with 16 samples AO @ 10, or 12mins with 5 samples & AO @ 10.

Poly count now at 1.6million, which will increase.
