Render Output vs File Output

Hi. I am preparing an animation to use in Blender comp.

I am a bit confused about the workflow. I set everything using my file output node in the comp…at the same time I can see there is an output path in the Output Properties menu…will that override the comp output ? How does exactly work…? It is a bit confusing to have two ways of output animations …Shouln’t the output menu in the right bar get greyed out when we use the file output node in comp ?

Hey.
I think it outputs both…?
Depending on the names and directories it might override the comp files. So just make sure they don’t save in the same place and/or under the same name, and it should be fine…

Hi! When using file output nodes to save rendered images, is it possible to disable the default output file, so it only saves the files I specify with the file output nodes?
