Hi,

Here you go:

Short answer: Its been removed

Means ?
I can’t get shadow pass for whole scene, instead I have to make a special shadow catcher object for every object I want the shadow for?

Seems like yes, but I’m not sure.

Yep, it is officially has been removed. Use Shadow Catcher instead.

I don’t know why every says to use the shadow catcher pass as its not a replacement for the shadow pass, they perform two different functions.

Yea I’m stumped as well, these are completely different things…

!!! I FOUND A WORKAROUND FOR THIS !!!

  1. first set the render pass to diffuse light
  2. then in the compositor use the node setup and set the compositor to always as shown above…you have to do a bit of tweaking with the color ramp to get it right but this is the closest way i could find to the shadow pass.
