So it usally looks ok but on the picture you can see how it acually looks then I press render.
It for some weird reason also looks like this then I press the “shading” tab.

Welcome to BA
Do you have any lights in your scene? I’m guessing not- you need them
I have them on I think
I have checked several tutorials an webpages to try to fix this issue and I’ve tried for half an hour lol
Can you share your file?
Welcome …
Change material alpha to 1 and enable screen space reflections.
Im still learning how to do simlpe stuff, Change material alpha to 1
where do I do this
I am so confused just looked at the materials and all three off them (2 for bottom part and 1 for top) are both blacked out. Im so confused
Oh… yes… (hmm the default is 1 so… anyway)… select the material then there is on the right side Surface … or look here…
…and the relection in Render Propeties (Camera Icon)…
How do I get the left side of your screen
It’s part of the shading workspace… (see top row) …the shader Editor…
That one is already on one Still looks the same then I render even thought the material is different now
Since you have two lights in the same position … just lower one a bit to light the darker lower part of the object… also pure black might be not sooo good… (maybe with some noise as bump…/)
Hmm… even without changing the color but a liitle more metallness and bump…:
… yeah … you have to toggle the images to see the slighly difference…
Thank you I figured out what was wrong
